What the Union of the women baptists?
UFB encourages the women belonging to our Federation of Churches in France in:
- meet (ladies' meetings in the local church)
- know itself (meetings inter-churches, regional and national)
- unite in request (on the occasion of the worldwide day of requests)
She allows cooperation with other Christian female organisations of Europe and of the world. It is a regular link with EBWU (Union of the women baptists Europeans), BWA (Department of the women of Alliance Worldwide Baptist).
She wants to emphasise the role of the women in the family, in their service within our local churches. But also in our regions, in the Federation, as well as encourage the writings of MBE and of ABEJ.
A little of history:
In 1948, in destroyed Europe, bléssée and divided further to World War II, a feminine group from six different countries meets in London to try to pray together. This time driven by the Holy Ghost was the first steps towards forgiveness, beginning of a reconciliation, and a call to request.
So the first worldwide day of requests in 1950 was born.

The Union of the women baptists of France will come into the world in 1958.
How works UFB?
UFB is composed of women who adhere to the purpose of the organisation and pour an annual 15-euro contribution (or 20 euro of support). It endows in its management, allows to edit the newspaper " Feminine looks ". Donations and support allow to help missions, other unions...

General meeting elects a committee 5 - 7 persons, church members of the FEEBF. This committee meets three times a year to implement the various activities of UFB. |
His acting relay:
UFB wants to work on communication and on development of the Union. For it she needs women who are delegated within their local church. The acting is in link with the committee. She makes communication easier with the women of our churches. His role consists precisely in:
Participate in life and in support of our Union by communication and by transmission of our newspaper " Feminine looks ".
Accept various information that our committee wants to announce (meetings, worldwide day of requests), to broadcast them locally.
Gather articles possible be broadcast in our newspaper.

His activities:
Every year is organised a National Meeting, first weekend of October.
So, on October 3-4 and 5th, 2008, we met in the centre of Rocheton to Rochette (77) to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Union of the women baptists. The topic of this year of 2008 was: "Confident Women, opened out in Jesus Christ... Salt of the earth. "It was a blest time !
Next year, we will meet in Rocheton for a new meeting. Keep these dates:
On October 2-3 and 4th, 2009, topic will be: "ZOOM LENS on the family".

Are organised of the regional meetings which take place every spring, so:
- Regional meeting West Centre will take place on April 25th and 26th, 2009 in Bonneuil-Matours (near Poitiers)
the speaker will be: Monica Baynes Clarke and will share on topic: "I need to change - the person and her need of change"
- Regional meeting Nord-Picardie-Haute Normandie will take place on March 27th and 28th, 2009 in Arras.
Valérie Duval Poujol will be the speaker and share on topic: "Women de la Bible, today's women

Occasionally other meetings can be organised: one weekend for women of pastors, or else with the European committee.
Our newspaper " Feminine looks " is four times edited a year: in March, June, September and December and is sent to the women having paid the contribution in UFB. This newspaper is a hyphen between the women of our different churches. He allows us to keep in touch, to be informed about the next meetings, to have a look on the world by missions and other organisms linked to our federation. But this newspaper also allows to encourage us, to express our faith, to testify....
